Almighty Trinity of mercy

Welcome us to Your side.

Open the gates of heaven for us.

Have mercy upon our suffering,

Our burdens, cares, sorrows.

Have mercy upon our sinfulness,

All the wrongs we do and ensuring chaos.

Have mercy upon our iniquity

Which forfeits all manner of peace.

Have mercy upon our errant way,

As we fail to pray and do Your will as asked.

“If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8 v 10)

In Your plan of salvation

Have salvation upon us, Your family,

We have made life unholy.

Lord, have mercy. Christ have mercy.

Lord have mercy upon us

As we look to the saving †.

Almighty Trinity, favour us,

For as You protect us, You bless us.

Hear the voice of our crying, sorrowing and suffering,

All manner of distress and despair, disillusionment,

Dismay held far at bay.

“For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14 v 33)

“Salvation belongs to the LORD, Your blessing is upon Your people.” (Psalm 3 v 8)

Lord, in Your mercy, help us to become a God fearing people, that we may serve You as You would wish us to. In mercy, forget our worthlessness.

In mercy, grant us the freedom from sin You offer us in Christ Jesus. Make us resolute in all Christian truth, but especially that of forgiveness.

In mercy, show us the way forwards to holiness in Your Son, Father, by Your purifying, sanctifying Spirit, who offers us new life.

Give life to us, O Lord, that You will bring forth fruit in love. Give new life to the world in Your mercy portrayed by Jesus.

Favour us O Lord, in Your mercies of love, of forgiveness, of kindness, of patience, of tolerance, of all the good things You wish to heap upon us.

“ ‘And try me now in this’ You say, ‘If I will not open for you the window of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it’.” (Malachi 3 v 10)

“ ‘And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground...” (v 11)

“And all nations will call You blessed, for You will be a delightful land,” (v 12) You say. O Lord, what a wonderful promise of hope. Mercy always offers us Your hope, thank You.

Our healing and hope, Your plan of salvation for us, comes through the Lord Jesus by means of the Spirit.

Open us all up to this. Favour us, O Lord, kindly Father.

I ask for this and all manner of Your other blessings in Jesus’ name as Saviour of the world. In Jesus, ever favour us. Amen.
